How to Prepare for a Lip Blush Appointment
How to Prepare for a Lip Blush Appointment
Lip blush enhances the natural tone and shape of your lips, but preparation is essential to achieving beautiful, lasting results. Here’s what you should do:
Should I Get Fillers Before or After Lip Blush?
Plan to get fillers either well before or after your lip blush session—never right before, 4 weeks either before or after is a proper amount of time. Your lips should be healed and stable for best results. However, if you naturally have any unevenness in the shape of your lips that would corrected with filler, it’s best to have the lip blush procedure done first so we can correct the asymmetry as much as possible with colour before you start correcting it with filler just in case at some point you decide to no longer get filler because your lips would be left uneven.
How Can I Prep My Lips Naturally?
Exfoliate for a few days in advance with a sugar scrub (gently)
Hydrate consistently—apply a rich balm and drink plenty of water
Avoid alcohol and blood thinners for at least 24 hours before to reduce sensitivity and bruising
Cold Sores -If you have ever had a cold sore in the past, it’s essential to take an antiviral medication before and after your procedure or directed by a medical professional
Having a colour in mind -to achieve the best results it’s good to at least have a tone in mind that you would prefer (ie. pink, red, peac, neutral) then your technician can mix colour options accordingly
